Luke 2:22-40
The Holy Spirit had revealed to Simeon that he would see the promised Messiah before he died. When he finally saw the infant Jesus, he immediately recognized Him as the One he was eagerly awaiting and anticipating. He took Jesus up in his arms, rejoiced, and praised God. When you behold the Lord Jesus Christ, do you recognize Him as your Messiah, and praise God for the gift of His Son?
