How did Jesus recruit followers? How does his method influence our approach today? Rather than try to convince people to follow him by winning arguments, Jesus simply invited them to spend time with him. “Come and see” is an invitation to be with Jesus. Just as Jesus did with his disciples, we are to extend the same invitation to our friends and neighbors today. Our goal isn’t to win them to a system or structure but to introduce them to a person – Jesus!
