We're circling back on this series centred on the first 6 chapters of the book of John – this time, diving into chapters 5 & 6 over 5 weeks.

Discipleship starts with knowing God. How have you come to know God deeper through the course of this year? John came to know much about Jesus as he lived and ministered with Him. But all the knowledge could not compare to what the Lord said of him – the disciple whom I loved.

John's relationship with Jesus was rooted in love and dependence on Him. He not only discovered Jesus to be the long-awaited Messiah, but also as God Incarnate! He understood why Jesus, the only Son of God, had to come into our world.

May our hearts be moulded to become tender towards our Lord Jesus as we live in deep communion with Him as a disciple whom He loves.
