The yolk of trying to be perfect for God will lead you to tiredness and frustration. God does not love you only if you do right. That is devastating and burdensome. Jesus says, come to me. Not to a new law, a new teaching, a loophole, a liturgy—but go to him—himself. If you seek God's love, if you want to be who you are created to be, then go to Jesus. This life is a yoking to Jesus and to the community that continues his life and his reconciling ministry here on earth. Sermon begins at 10:05.
