Mary Magdalene’s encounter with the risen Christ in the garden connects to Jesus’s ministry during his life: his embrace of and love for the people he met, and his invitation that they come to the table in communion and fellowship. This is the abundant life, eternal life that begins now, fellowship and communion with each other and the Holy One.
