ZACHARY'S NOTES: 

Stanza 1 // While the invitation we hear this week from Philip to Nathaniel is that he “come and see” Christ, this brief hymn delivers our Lord’s promise of life - a continual invitation - to know the Lord. It is a prayer - that in leaving the altar and Holy Communion - God would bring us to see “greater things.” In one sense, this hymn prays for the joys of heaven, where the celestial chorus sings the praise of Christ for all eternity. This is a wonderful picture about which to sing! But, the hymn also prays that God’s peace would remain with us today in those God has made His people.
