John Gerard Fagan is a writer, initially from Scotland, and is the author of his memoir 'Fish Town', chronicling his experience of living in Japan for six years between 2013-2019. We discuss his background in Scotland, creative writing, reasons for moving to Japan, and the challenges faced through undertaking that journey, including advice for anybody looking to teach in Asia, particularly Japan.
