Professor Damian Hughes is an international speaker and author. He has a practical and academic background within sport, organisational development and change psychology.

He also co hosts the ‘ High Performance Podcast’ alongside BT sport presenter Jake Humphrey, interviewing a range of elite performers from sport, business and beyond. Guests include Jonny Wilkinson, Matthew McConaughey, Tim Peake, Rio Ferdinand, Sir Chris Hoy and Gareth Southgate.

Damian’s body of work include ‘The Barcelona Way’, ‘How to think like Sir Alex Ferguson’, ‘Liquid Thinking’, and ‘How to Change Absolutely Anything’.

We discuss his background of work in academia, including liquid (flexible) thinking, the key ingredients to the winning cultures at clubs such as Barcelona and Manchester United, and lessons from the high performance guests, which include taking full responsibility, learning and reflecting from failure, and whether or not anybody can be a high achiever.
