Dutch Uncles are an indie pop band from Manchester, UK. They have released five albums, toured with bands such as Paramore, The FutureHeads, and Bombay Bicycle Club, and played an array of UK and European tours, including a slot at Glastonbury 2017, on the back of their fifth record, ‘Big Balloon’. In this episode, I chat to frontman Duncan Wallis, about the band’s history from college, choosing their sound/style away from typical Oasis/Roses Manchester vibes, touring with Paramore, challenges faced in terms of logistics, radio airplay and songwriting, finally playing Glastonbury in 2017, themes of their work, and their ‘Chips Of Chorlton’ podcast, based in Manchester, UK.
