This episode, I sit down with Comedian Derek Richards.
A veteran of several USO tours, Derek was chosen as one of the first performers at Guantanamo Bay after the base began guarding jailed Al-Qaeda terrorists. That comedy tour earned Derek national coverage in Newsweek. He has also performed at U.S. base camps in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Africa. You can hear him on satellite radio and on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Show.
Derek and I talk about Bill Cosby, making the move from radio to comedy, handling hecklers, getting caught in the “open mic circle”, being a quarterback on stage, performance nightmares, leaving your problems at the door, and the club to visit in Las Vegas.
