Tony and Chris talk about “Comforting the Disturbed, and Disturbing the Comforted.” This quote comes directly from Mother Teresa and was the response she gave to the question of her earthly purpose. Mother Teresa performed everyday actions with great love, and thus in comforting the disturbed, she was also able to disturb those comfortable with their lives. We would do well to follow Mother Teresa’s example in many ways, but especially by disturbing the comforted, starting with ourselves. This is a very important element to understand: We must all get out of our comfort zones in order to Evangelize effectively.
