This week we look at the subject of the last solo movie that Marvel put out as they built toward the Avengers and the end of “Phase 1” of the MCU.  Captain America debuted in Timely comics way back in 1940, and has had a long and twisting history in the Marvel Universe.  We prep for the movie by taking a look at that classic debut issue and a number of other classic Cap stories, as well as the books that introduced Nick Fury and his Howlin’ Commandos.
