This will change things...FOREVER!
It's phrases like that which grab a comic book readers attention. When we're told that a character that we've grown up loving for so long is going to be put through a core shaking, life altering event, we grow concerned. What could possibly bend the unbendable, break the unbreakable? Three words send shivers down our spine, shriek in terror and run for the hills... Comic. Book. Event!
What was once the epic climax to a building story arc in a solo or team book has now become a cash grab from publishers. And the worst thing about these "massive events" is that they either have a great start, but a weak ending, OR, the repercussions of the event are wiped away a few months later to build up to the NEXT major event!
Hold on to your capes, geeks and geekets. We at My Big Fat Pull List are about to throw ourselves in front of the deadly lazer blast, sacrificing ourselves to save YOU from Comic Book Event Fatigue!
