Today I got a chance to talk with Cam Banks from Cortex RPG about their upcoming Tales of Xadia RPG set in the world of Netflix's Dragon Prince! We talk about what Cortex is all about, how the system works, and what it has been like working in the world of Dragon Prince! Today I got to sit down with Linda Chen, a viral TikTok star working to bring awareness to mental illness and mental health through a Pokemon-esque game in which emotions take on physical aspects like little monsters. It is an amazing conversation about stigma around mental health, cultural and regional and racial pressures around it, and how to get into start-ups. There is a little story behind today's episode. Jackson Lewis and I have been friends for a long time, and they had mentioned they hadn't had a chance to be on the show yet, so we got them on and we recorded right after Inauguration Day back in January. I was never able to get the episode launched then as my school went back to in-person hybrid ed, so it got left behind in the annuls a little bit. But now, here it is. 

A lot of the stuff Jackson and I talk about in today's episode are things that we all need to be talking about - in the gaming and creative sphere and beyond. We need to support creators who are from all different walks of life. LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and disabled creators deserve the spot where they all are next to us and respected for what they make and who they are, and not to be torn down. 

Be the change and make the change.

From Comics, Clerics, & Controllers and Mother of Goblins, we bring you the first ever episode of Goblin Games - the show where we bring together our favorite RPG creators and artists to create some fun stuff for an hour once a month! Co-hosted by our own Cameron Day and the lovely Lydia Van Hoy, we brought together creators Druedawes, Cassandra McDonald, and Jackson Lewis!  

They were given 15 minutes to craft any kind of RPG supplement or game based around these three prompts: Goblins, GameStop Stock, and 2020. What did they create? Who will continue on? Make sure to follow Lydia on Twitter and keep an eye on their feed for where the voting shall begin!

Today I got to set down with Craig Campbell, the big kahuna of NerdBurger Games! Craig has been around RPGs since the early 90s, and out of that love for RPGs bloomed his own brand of niche-setting games with unique mechanics, primarily with his first game Capers. I chatted with Craig about building and developing systems, making the dive into publishing, and his newest Kickstarter (which is live here) as part of the crowdfunding site's Zinequest 3!
