The inspiration for this topic came from a TikTok video that emphasized the importance of recognizing that not all black people need to sound or talk the same in order to be considered valid. Also, this video touches on the concept of code-switching, the articulation and pronunciation of words based on a particular audience. Based on these thought-provoking ideas, the girls touch on different experiences with their fellow black folks, finding their identity within the black community, while also sharing their heartfelt natural hair journey.
