Commanders Win 21-18 vs NYG, Jayden Daniels Grade & Postgame Thoughts

Listen Later

The Washington Commanders found a way to beat the New York Giants at Northwest Field in the team's home opener, 21-18.

Jayden Daniels had a solid outing where he showed potential strides, staying in the pocket more and keeping his eyes downfield when he did escape the pocket. What grade would you give his performance?
The team remains undisciplined. 10 penalties, and very costly ones at that, negating a kickoff return TD for Austin Ekeler, and 4 drives that were in the redzone got stalled due to false starts. How will Dan Quinn fix these issues?
Other standouts of the game include new kicker Austin Seibert, who went 7/7 on his field goal attempts, and Brian Robinson Jr. who had a career high 133 rushing yards on 17 carries. On defense, Benjamin St. Juste had 3 pass deflections and a crucial forced fumble on Devin Singletary that changed the game and likely gave the Commanders the victory.
