Matthew chapter 21 verse 21, “So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘A surely, I say to you, If you have faith and do not doubt you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain be removed and be cast into the sea, it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer believing, you will receive.”

Now Jesus had just cursed a deceptive and fruitless tree. He was teaching you and I that in our pursuit of God we never have to settle for an imitation of victory. Through prayer, we too can speak to fruitless areas in our own lives, and break their power to deceive. In addition, we can speak to those areas ahead of us that seem impossible to pass over, and command them to cease from hindering our forward progress. More than ever now, it’s time to pray.
