A short conversation on eating before sermons, and we jump right into a listener question: What is a Christ-like response to cliques and exclusion? Is it to kindly point it out to encourage growth (like Jesus did with the Pharisees excluding/judging outcasts i.e. Luke 7:36-50) or to accept it with grace as an inevitable consequence of the fall (i.e. even Jesus had his twelve although he occasionally dined with outcasts)? Should the church address it as an issue or is it a natural ramification of any community/society?
