This week, the Commentology Boys take a long hard look at Dan Aykroyd, one of pop culture’s most enduring lame guys. After years of enormous box office success in the late 70s and early 80s, Dan has slowly faded from the spotlight, but never disappeared completely - and his success in turning his interest in shitty music and crystal alien skulls into genuine money-making schemes means he has a lot of free time to star in low budget UFO documentaries, the likes of which we’re about to dive into.

Dan has some pretty dire warnings about UFOs for the Commentology audience, so to corroborate those claims, Max and Matt call NYC Subway Spiritual Consultant Keano for the scoop. All this after diving into friend of the show Bobby De Niro’s recent sexual harassment claims. Enjoy!

What is it that an audience loves so much about John? Will we ever fully know? Can we?

The Commentology Boys are joined by Chris Wade, producer of Chapo Trap House (@chapo-trap-house) and co-host / producer of And Introducing podcast (@and-intro-pod), to get to the bottom of that essential question: how might we get closer to thee, dear John?

Join us as we speculate on whose money was flushed down the toilet on this feature, check in with Tom Sizemore and John Voight in our new segments Sizing Up Sizemore and Voight’s Void, consider the soul-destroying effects of mid-aughts reality TV, and finally, dive deep into John’s 2018 instant classic Speed Kills.

Commentology is back from our summer break and we are diving headfirst into the absolute WORST that popular culture has to offer. This week we check in on John Travolta's new Fred Durst directed thriller THE FANATIC, hear from the front lines of the culture war with Kevin Sorbo's THE RELIANT, explore furry religiosity and the joys of marrying your favorite video game, and finally shape-shift into our favorite creatures.

That's all before we dive into possibly the worst film known to mankind, 2011's Love On A Leash. It was one for the books, and the gulag!
