Earlier this week we saw the Khoisan community up in arms over branding used by a wine making company in the Northern Cape. The company, Namaqua Wines, uses Khoisan illustration on their wine boxes labelled "Rain Dance". This then draws our attention to the age old problem where indigenous medicines and symbols are used for commercial gain while the ethnic communities get nothing out of it.
