The Box Elder County Commission has approved a letter of support for the Bear River Health Department (BRHD) as it seeks to shift substance use treatment from a fee-for-service model to a Medicaid capitation system. “Right now, we’re one of the only regions left in the state that still has a fee-for-service model for substance abuse treatment,” BRHD Director Jordan Mathis told commissioners Aug. 27.
