Scripture: 1 Corinthians 4:1-21

There is a threat to unity that lives in each of us. It is the great sin that divided the angels and separated mankind from God in the beginning. Nothing can destroy unity like pride, which views oneself as better and others as lesser. The potential for this sin lives in each of us, which means that we must all examine ourselves and root out pride in whatever form it takes in our hearts. It is only with humility and consideration toward others that we can be one.
