Last time I talked about community and I loved that journey through what has and what hasn't worked in my life. Things I've witnessed, conclusions... It was an interesting thought process.
The crux of community lies in the formation of deeply felt and expressed individual relationship bonds. The kind that keep you connected in crisis and in celebration. The kind that you are willing to hold on to despite the complexity of lives not lived cheek to cheek.
At a point in my life I lived in a ministry community. We ate together, lived together, worked together, played together. It was like having a 45 acre, multi-dwelling family house. And it definitely had it's perks. It had it's drawbacks too, for sure.
