Communicate your results clearly with the STAR method
Today, we're going to go over how to communicate your ideas effectively. And one of the best ways to convey your idea is through storytelling and in business contacts. The best way to tell a story is to describe a process because a process in itself is somewhat of a story. It has a beginning and it hasn't end. And somewhere between the beginning and the end, there's some change.
So there is a framework that you can automatically apply any time you need to convey your ideas in a business setting through the story. And this framework is called the Star Method. And in the star method, the star stands for Situation, Task, Action, Results. And if you remember the situation, task action results and you set up your thinking to communicate your information in this way, people are going to be more perceptive to it, and they're going toe, understand it a lot better. They're also going to see you as a lot more analytical.
So situation, task action results. First, you describe the situation, you're describing the setting. People need a base for where you're going to take them. They need to know the beginning of the journey, then you talk about the test that went into solving that situation or addressing that situation, and then you talk about the actions you actually took and what you learn from those actions in actually implementing those tasks.
And finally, what were the results that you got out of that entire process? And if you communicate your information in that way, using the star method in a business setting, other people will be much more perceptive to your ideas. See you on the next one.
