How often do you go to Mass and receive communion like you are punching a time clock? Is it really love for God that comes late to Mass, right before the gospel, and departs as soon as communion has been received? I am sure you would not think that anyone really cared about you if they only listened to some of what you have to say- like the gospel only at Mass- or leave once they got whatever you were providing them - like communion at Mass. So why treat God so unimportantly? Why only come to Mass and leave like He is only a thing to be used?

If we truly understood what the Mass and communion really was, we would act differently. We would love Him who so loved us. We would desire it even when we were doing other things.
