I’m thrilled to host Karen Worthy, a powerhouse whose career journey spans mechanical engineering, Procter & Gamble, Amazon, startups, and now her coaching practice.
Why should you listen to Karen?
She is a Mechanical Engineer and an MBA graduate. She started her career at Procter & Gamble as a technical engineer, then made her first of many career shifts into manufacturing operations leadership. She moved back to Texas to be closer to family after my first son was born, and at that point, she chose to deepen her expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement.
She was also tapped on the shoulder to run the supply chain, procurement, and warehousing facilities for the aerospace company she was working for, and quickly fell in love with the supply chain. To continue learning more about warehousing and fulfillment, she transitioned to Amazon, where she ran several different fulfillment centers. Then she joined a start-up company. At the start-up, she showed up on day one to an office that didn’t even have a desk built for her and helped them build a thriving operations organization from the ground up. When they needed help in Talent Acquisition and Recruiting, she set that team up for hypergrowth and then helped lead on the HR side. Now, she is the founder of Worthy Career Paths.
