Every parent's nightmare is to hear the phrase, “your child has cancer”. Since 1985, The Tomorrow Fund has been “an independent non-profit charitable organization, providing daily financial and emotional support to children with cancer and their families treated at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, RI”. Lisa Hainse, Executive Director of The Tomorrow Fund (tomorrowfund.org), joins us with the details of this worthy organization. They're celebrating 40 years of service with heart, hope & support at the 37th Annual Black Tie Gala “Fantasy Ball” on November 1st at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, Cranston RI. Lisa credits the founder of the organization, Dr. Edwin N. Forman with their continued commitment to act as a safety net for these children and their families. Listen as she describes the various support measures provided to these families. She also details the fundraising efforts The Tomorrow Fund conducts annually. The gala is their largest fundraiser, however in April they have their annual “stroll” as well as the annual golf tournament. According to Lisa, this 37th Gala will be “A Night to Remember”!
