Explore the significance of being disiciples (apprentices) of the Master Jesus. Apprenticeship differs from education, which is a transfer of knowledge from the teacher to a student. Apprenticeship describes how we are called to take on the character of our Master. We are to follow, become and do as Jesus is. The call to be Jesus' disciples is not a solo project. It is best done in the context of shared practices and shared imaginations. We see that in the way Jesus invited his disciples to follow and observe how he proclaimed the Kingdom of God.
