Tributes are being paid to former Donegal County Manager and Aodh Ruadh, Ballyshannon GAA personality Michael McLoone, who has died.

The late Mr McLoone served as Donegal County Manager for a sixteen year perioed between from 1994 until 2010.

During that time he oversaw a number of initiatives, including new Public Services Centres in Co. Donegal

He was also CEO of Beaumont Hospital in Dublin and was also on the board of the Health Service Executive.

Former Ballyshannon based Counicllor Barry O Neill served on the local Authority when Mr McLoone was county manger.

He says he's left a lasting legacy
