By definition, competition is the act or process of trying to get or win something (a prize or a higher level of success) that some else is also trying to get or win. Healthy competition can be a great thing. It can bolster:

• self improvement
• increase productivity (especially in work and/or academics)
• can lift you to your highest potential

...But when it's toxic it's TOXIC!

As members of the sisterhood, we must remember that TOGETHER WE THRIVE! Sisterhood teaches us the importance and benefit of 

• empathy over callousness
• understanding over confusion
• inclusivity over excluding
• collaboration over resistance

Let's check ourselves to develop a better understanding as to why we compete and compare in the first place.  I'm a firm believer in our innate ability to support one another. In doing so, we're able to share the light and darkest parts of our journey.
