Compassion as Spiritual Practice with Pria Acharya - EP 329

Listen Later

Author and filmmaker Pria Acharya shares how a personal turning point shattered old, generational conditioning and opened her to a deeper truth. From discovering the hidden realities behind the dairy industry to the story of a calf who forever changed her heart, Pria invites us as spiritual journeyers to question what we’ve been taught, who we want to be, and how far our compassion extends. We explore how comforting myths distort truth, the grief that comes with awakening, the simplicity and holiness of the mother-baby connection, and the courage it takes to walk away from herd mentality. There’s no blame or shame here, only an invitation to look behind the curtain as we awaken together and walk each other home.

Bio - Pria Acharya, MBA, is a certified mindfulness teacher, filmmaker, narcissistic abuse recovery coach, storyteller, activist, gardener, and vegan cook. Born in India with roots in Rajasthani Brahmin culture, and raised in the United States, she blends ancient wisdom with modern clarity to inspire compassionate, mindful living. Her film, Do No Harm, explores the ethical implications of dairy consumption and her new book, Go Vegan, Mindfully: Barriers, Breakthroughs, and Vitality, explores how mindfulness can support compassionate and sustainable living. More than a book about food, it explores veganism as a path to vitality, peace, and harmony, and offers reflections, stories, and practical tools to help people integrate vegan values into everyday life with presence and resilience.
