Follow the leader. Remember that game as a child, schoolyard, follow the leader. Do you guys play follow the leader in school? I was wanting it to be the leader. Did you always want to be the leader? Bullsh*t! Garrett's lying right now. He said, no. I always wanted to be the leader. Why? Because I don't like people telling me what to do. It's not fun. It's not fun. It's not fun. Being told what to do. You got parents, you got teachers, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. We don't want to be told what to do, but I want to tell you where follow the leader pays off. Let's say in your business, in your market, you go to Google and you search your service, who are the top three listings that come up that aren't lead gen companies, the top three companies that come up in the listings for maps, for organic, who are they? Now go look at their website, get tools to help you analyze it tools to help you analyze. There's a bunch of them out there, but analyze like what's their content look like? How much content do they have? What are the pages look like? What are the calls to action look like? What are they doing on their Google maps listing? How many photos do they have? How many reviews do they have? How many reviews have they responded to? How many posts do they put up? The list goes on and on and on but look at everything your competitor does. And do that for three, the top three competitors. What does it have to do with follow the leader? Well, SEO, local SEO works like this. There's already a roadmap telling you what you need to do to be at the top. It's those competitors. Now what you have to do is do what they're doing and then do a better do it more, be better. And so if you know what they're doing and you're doing that, and then you pour gasoline on it, you're able to become the leader, but you're not going to get there until you follow the leader. What does every SEO agency in the world do? They do exactly this it's called competitor analysis. And we determine who are your competitors. Who's at the top of the game. What are they doing at the top of the game. Now, what do we need to do to beat them. That's exactly what you need to do. Follow the leader, determine what are the leaders doing in your market for the keywords that you want to be found for. Make sure that's being done at a minimum. Now do more. They post one blog a month, well you post two blogs a month. They post once on their GMB weekly. Well, you start posting daily on your GMB. They have 50 reviews, get to a hundred reviews. They've responded to half of their reviews, you respond to all your reviews list goes on and on and on. They got a hundred photos, you put 200 photos. They have one service page per location, you get two service pages per location. On and on and on follow the leader, figure out what they do duplicate and do it better and DMN8 the Day!
