Complete surrender involves us releasing control over situations and truly love God with all of our hearts and minds. It is a processs in which we renew our minds so that fear doesn’t grip and distract us. When we receive the unconditional love of God, it makes the process of surrendering easier because our desires change and peace becomes more prevalent in our hearts.
“Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Matthew 22:37-39
“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first.”
1 John 4:18-19
