Tamar-kali is a Brooklyn born and bred artist and second-generation musician with roots in the coastal Sea Islands of South Carolina. In 2017 she made her debut as a film composer, scoring Dee Rees Oscar-nominated MUDBOUND which garnered her the World Soundtrack Academy’s Discovery of the Year Award.
