Hello Sacred Circle,
Here, in this sanctuary for mythic remembering and rewilded soulwork, I invite you to gather by the campfire—crackling with old stories and new possibilities—for our latest episode of Rewilding the Mythic Self: A Podcast for Soul-Led Leadership Beyond Systems of Silence.
This week, I nestled in conversation with Dr. Tamea Ryan—a luminous weaver of story transformation and ancestral reclamation, and a kindred spirit on the path from clinical practice to soul-rooted narrative coaching. With over 20 years tending people through the thorny underbrush of inherited stories and institutional expectations, Tamea brings her medicine: an artful, action-guided invitation to leave behind borrowed scripts and claim the sovereignty of our own folklore.
Some threads from our ritual dialogue:
🌱 Story as Compost and CatalystTamea spoke of inherited “bags” we each carry—stuffed with beliefs, roles, and family mythologies—often sewn shut before we were old enough to question whose burdens we were carrying. She asks: When was the last time you sifted through your bag, holding each story up to the light, and asked, “Does this still fit me?”What do you tenderly keep? What needs releasing into the fertile soil of your next becoming?
🌋 Eruptions of Change, One Small ShiftThere is no single heroic leap required to unravel old narratives.Tamea reminds us that embodied transformation begins with “one small change,” a simple refusal to let another’s voice replace your own inner compass.“As soon as I started allowing myself even the permission to change my story, I felt something lift,” she shares. Can you feel the permission in your bones to step off the prescribed path, even by a breath, even by a word?
🕸️ Ancestral Wisdom, Visibility as DevotionWe wove together the power of media, collective trauma, and remembered practices—from singing old songs with clients to reviving folk wisdom, tarot, and quilted mythologies. This is not about self-improvement.It is about self-remembrance—unlearning what is not yours, and letting your visibility become sacred devotion.
✨ A Listening, Not a LectureWe did not offer blueprints; instead, we invited the question: Who might you become if you saw your story as living myth, open to revision, reclamation, and wild grace?
If your spirit is craving a space where “healing isn’t found in systems—it’s found in remembrance,” I invite you to listen in. Let Tamea’s story and our shared questions be compost for your own mythic reclamation.
🌒 What is one piece you’re ready to let go from your ancestral bag this season? 🌔 What new root or ritual wishes to grow in its place?
With you in the spiral, JosieHost, Rewilding the Mythic Self
P.S. Dr. Tamea’s community for intentional narrative work is now open for gentle registration. Her workbooks and offerings—all crafted for emergent, creative misfits and heart-led healers—await you (see links in episode notes).
P.P.S. If you’re moved by this conversation, pen a reply. Let us gather your threads into next week’s dialogue. Your story matters, now and always.

About Rewilding the Mythic Self with Josephine Patricia
Welcome to Rewilding the Mythic Self—a podcast and blog portal for soul-led seekers, visionary misfits, and ancestral cycle-breakers ready to reclaim their creative sovereignty, spiritual autonomy, and mythic truth beyond systems of silence.
Hosted by Dr. Josephine Patricia Jarvis, this space is a ceremonial hearth where neurodivergent leaders, recovering over-givers, and repressed mystics gather to unearth the stories, symbols, and soulwork that awaken their deepest knowing. Through poetic storytelling, folk wisdom, trauma-informed reflections, and liberatory conversations, we remember: you are not broken—you’ve been conditioned.
Here, we spiral through the sacred mess of rewilding. We compost performance, perfectionism, and institutional entanglement to grow something more ancient and alive.
Each episode and blog post is an invitation to:
* Trust your creative and emotional impulses as holy guides
* Remember the ancestral threads you carry in your body
* Liberate your inner shapeshifter, oracle, artist, and rebel
* Practice visibility as a devotional act, not a demand
* Rebuild your life in rhythm with your soul—not systems
This is not self-help. This is soul retrieval.
Because the path forward isn’t linear—it’s mythic.
