It was like an event straight out of a bad soap opera. Herod steals his brother's wife, who was really his niece, the prophet John the Baptist rebukes him and is jailed, and then a plot of murder mixed with wine and debauchery puts Herod in a tight spot. He can prevent the murder, but that would mean losing face in front of his cronies. Will he do the right thing? Or, will he let another man die to save face?
