Dr. Ryan Compton is the Head of Applied Machine Learning at Clarifai and previously served on the research staff at Howard Hughes Laboratories. In 2012, Ryan completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics — which involved studying sparsity promoting optimization in quantum mechanical signal processing.

Prior to that, he was involved in a startup leveraging artificial intelligence for online behavioral advertising. Keith's illustrious career also includes roles at BT, the BBC, and as a founder and non-executive director of www.worldgallery.co.uk. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Postgraduate degree in Image and Video Compression from Kingston University. Additionally, he spent nine years as a non-executive director at Kings College London, demonstrating his commitment to both academia and industry advancement.
