Airspace closures across the Middle East have been causing chaos for travellers after safety concerns from airlines.

Aviation writer Robin Ironside told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings "It would be a very anxious time for anyone with flights to Europe or the Middle East. It's certainly a rolling series of changes at the moment."

"I do like to think that passengers can put their faith in their airline to do the right thing. And if they cancel the flight, then that's for their own safety." Robin continued.
