There are a ton of “dos and don’ts” connected to concerts - from not wearing the band’s t-shirt while at their shows, to using phones to capture every second of the performance. Even the bands onstage are expected to follow certain protocols - whether it’s to keep the stage banter to a minimum or an unspoken promise to return for an encore… but where did all of these concert cliches come from?
