Luke 15:11-32

The parable of the prodigal son we’re looking at today is well-known and well-loved—and for good reason. With this parable, Jesus makes the extravagance and consistency of God’s grace so clear, for prodigal and finger pointer alike. The condemnation that hangs over our heads as prodigals and sinners is crushed by God’s over-and-above grace. And the condemnation we pass on others is crushed by that same consistent grace of our Father who gives Jesus for all, wants none to perish, and all to be his own. Amazing grace crushes condemnation.
