Surf Report - Coney Island NYC area

Coney Island Beach and Manhattan Beach Surf Report for 11-10-2024

Listen Later

Hey there, awesome beachgoers and surfers! Ready for a fun day by the water? Well, let's check out what's happening in the New York surf zone today!

Starting off with Brooklyn, we've got a high rip current risk until 6 PM today. But hey, the surf height is about 3 feet, and the water temperature is in the upper 60s. So, if you're up for a cloudy day with a chance of rain, head on over to Coney Island or Manhattan Beach.

Moving over to Southern Queens, where it's pretty much the same deal - high rip current risk, 3-foot surf, and cloudy skies. So, keep an eye out at Jacob Riis Park and Rockaway Beach.

Down in Southern Nassau, at places like Atlantic Beach and Long Beach, it's a repeat of the high rip current risk, 3-foot surf, and cloudy weather. But hey, don't worry, the sun will shine again soon!

And for those chilling in Southwestern Suffolk at Gilgo State Park or Robert Moses State Park, you've guessed it - high rip current risk, 3-foot surf, and cloudy with a chance of rain. Maybe pack that umbrella just in case.

Finally, over in Southeastern Suffolk with spots like Smith Point and Cupsogue Beach, there's a bit higher surf at around 4 feet but the same rip current risk, low UV index, and mostly cloudy conditions. So, stay safe and stay out of the rough surf!

Remember, always swim near a lifeguard, have a flotation device handy, and most importantly, have loads of fun out there. And if you need more info on rip currents or beach safety, check out the link provided.
