  • Building faith in the age of AI: The talk, the tool, and the testimony

Artificial intelligence is everywhere – in classrooms, on phones, and now even in scripture study. But is that a good thing? In this special, Ethan Millard and Alex Kirry explore where AI fits with today's youth when it comes to faith. Can AI be a powerful tool for preparing talks, diving deeper into scripture study, and helping kids who don't know where to start? Or does leaning on it too much take away the spiritual discovery and growth that comes from doing the work yourself? Join us as we navigate growing up and building faith in the age of AI.

Hosted by Alex Kirry and Ethan Millard; produced by Caitlyn Johnston

  • Utah's Childcare Crisis: Navigating the lack of availability and affordability in a costly world

Recent data show that the average family of four needs to make more than $200,000 to live comfortably in Utah. With rising inflation and a more expensive cost-of-living, childcare costs have skyrocketed. It's left many families with questions: Can we even afford to have two working parents, or does the cost of childcare negate a second paycheck?

Utah is unique among states, with traditionally large families and a long history of stay-at-home mothers, but it's now being challenged in the face of economic hardship. How are parents and providers coping with affordability issues? Where does Utah stand in terms of childcare costs and availability? And what's being done to try and alleviate some of the concerns facing Utah families today?

In this special, KSL NewsRadio's Heather Peterson explores the childcare landscape in Utah through the eyes of parents, daycare providers, childcare advocates, state officials, and lawmakers.

Hosted and produced by Heather Peterson; technical production by Ryan Meeks

  • A Return to Faith: Young adults, religion, and the search for meaning

Is a new generation rediscovering faith or is the data telling a different story? Despite claims of a religious revival among young Americans, national research from the Pew Research Center shows religious participation among Gen Z remains largely unchanged. In A Return to Faith, host Maria Shilaos explores the gap between statistics and lived experience. Through conversations with faith leaders and young adults across multiple religious traditions, this hour-long KSL NewsRadio special examines why some Gen Z Americans are returning to church, synagogue, or sanctuary — and what continues to inspire faith in an increasingly secular America.
