In this episode we see how that it requires The Holy Spirit for Man to know Christ. It is completely impossible for Man (even the one who is Born Again) to know Christ apart from The Holy Spirit. The passages for our text are Luke 3:21-22 and John 1:29-34 with the baptism of Jesus. We also look at John 16:13 where Jesus Himself declares the work of The Spirit of Truth, which is to guide unto all Truth Who Christ Himself is. With John the baptist we also see a spiritual order of coming to knowing Christ: 1- Confessing our ignorance of knowing Christ (Jn 1:31); 2- The Holy Spirit drawing our attention and placing it, and keeping it, upon Christ (Jn 1:32); 3- Seeing Jesus (Jn 1:34); 4- Confessing our testimony: this is The Son of God (Jn1:34).
