Confessions Of A Practicing Christian

Confessions: Desires, Distractions, Deliverance

Listen Later

Giving your life to God changes the way you walk. You begin to move differently, think differently, and live differently. But sometimes that walk turns into a stumble. There are moments when we fall into fleshly desires, distractions, and patterns that slowly pull us away from truth. Scripture warns about a depraved mind — a condition that develops through persistent rebellion, leading to distorted thinking and moral compromise. It’s a sobering reminder of what can happen when we continually choose our own direction over God’s will.

Yet even in the struggle, there is hope. The Bible reminds us that many are the plans in a person’s heart, but God’s purpose will prevail. The flesh and the Spirit are often at war within us, and the battle can feel exhausting and deeply personal. Still, nothing can separate us from the love of God. A righteous person may fall again and again, but they rise each time through grace, repentance, and renewed surrender.

In this episode, we talk about accountability, repentance, spiritual growth, and what it truly means to be shaped by God. It’s about learning to trust that even when we stumble, God is still working — developing our character, strengthening our faith, and calling us back into alignment with His purpose.

If you’ve ever felt the tension between who you are and who God is calling you to become, this conversation is for you. 🙏🔥
