Even then, many Jewish authorities believed in Jesus; but because of the Pharisees they did not talk about it openly, so as not to be expelled from the synagogue. They loved human approval rather than the approval of God. John 12:42-43

Am I not trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God? 1st John 3:1

Seeking approval from the wrong places will rob us of the purpose and significance we’re created for. 

Who validates our worth? Others = Give, God = Gave

Who validates who we are? Others = Conformity, God = Children

Who validates what we do? Others = current culture, God = eternal character

Significance won’t come from the self-seeking applause of others…it comes from the God-given value we selflessly pass on.
