My mom has always told me to listen to every piece of advice the people want to share and then do what works best for you.Keep that in mind as I give you this next piece of advice...Meet your kids where they are, not where you think they should be. As a matter of fact, this is true for any relationship. I have never not loved my kids, but by meeting them where they are I have fallen in love with them all over again. I can truly see their personalities and quirks. Their strengths and weaknesses. I can see them for who they are so it makes it easier to see what brings them joy and what breaks their heart.
