course, while they are waiting, danger lurks. And soon after they enter,

they are very aware that there is more danger inside. Jesus uses the

picture of a closed door to invite people to pray. His words focus on

the hope we all have that our prayers will be answered, which He

compares to a door being opened. But sometimes, people think they have

to find the 'magic' words to get their prayers answered. Jesus wants us

to know that it doesn't work like that. He wants to teach us about how

confident we can be that our prayers will be answered, and that God will

do good for us.
