Listen Later

In this episode we are going to look at Configuring Initial Switch Settings.

We will perform basic switch configuration tasks. We will secure access to the command-line interface (CLI) and console ports using encrypted and plain text passwords. We will also learn how to configure messages for users logging into the switch. These message banners are also used to warn unauthorized users that access is prohibited.

We will be discussing verifying the Default Switch Configuration, Configuring a Basic Switch Configuration, Configuring a MOTD Banner, and Saving Configuration Files to NVRAM.
