Our serving in Jesus' Name must be both a giving and a receiving. As Jesus brought healing and new life to Peter's mother-in-law, and many others in the Gospel lesson (Mark 1:29-39), so Jesus empowers and send us to serve others in his Name. Our congregational serving - both giving and receiving - will, by God's grace, bring glory and praise to our Servant King, Jesus Christ, and be a blessing to others in his Name.
