June 28 – Kelly Sloan – Net Neutrality

In 2015, Obama's FCC Chairman, Tom Wheeler, took a heavy handed approach to internet regulation by classifying it as a "public utility" under Title II of the Communications Act. Trump's FCC Chairman is repealing this, but there is nothing to prevent any future Democratic Administration from re-imposing Title II, so there is an effort underway to enact legislation to ensure proper internet neutrality rules without turning the net into a government run entity. Kelly Sloan brings both Jason Pye, the public policy and legislative affairs director for FreedomWorks; and David Williams, President of the Taxpayers Protection Alliance to discuss this important issue.
